Nicolle Merrill is a four-time career changers who’s led many professional lives: study abroad advisor, luxury travel writer, global career coach, author, public speaker/trainer, and now Generative AI Product Designer. She got her start in AI by breaking chatbots and writing about how they could be better. When she started learning about AI in 2017 she quickly realized that most courses and videos were made for engineers and data scientists. She isn’t either of those. The content was boring. As Nicolle gained experience working in AI, she started acting as a sort of AI Ambassador, translating technical AI projects and concepts into business information for non-technical teams and leaders. She realized the need for AI literacy training for employees. In 2022 she started a training company to focus on AI literacy education. She named it Boring AI because everyone told her how boring AI was to learn. Then she created workshops teaching AI skills for employees that aren’t boring. All of Boring AI’s branding is donuts and bright colors. Nicolle did this to rebel against traditional AI branding. In a land of robots, circuits, and dark blue vibes, she’s a bright pink donut. You’ll see many donut references in this course. So she’s legit. The real deal. What sets this course apart? This course is designed to be a skill building course for your career.
