New Fire Flow Analysis and water quality improvements in InfoWater Pro 2025.1
InfoWater Pro 2025.1 delivers a new analysis option for users to examine the impacts of these increased flow events throughout their network and address vulnerabilities. Additionally, new functionality in this release decreases run durations for water quality simulations.
Our water distribution development and QA teams have been hard at work delivering solutions and workflows to improve InfoWater Pro’s capabilities. Particularly for fire-flow simulations, we’ve made great strides over the last year, like when we rolled out cloud access for fire flow last fall. Now, in InfoWater Pro 2025.1, it’s easier than ever to explore the impacts of fire-flow events in your distribution network. Joining this fire-flow analysis option improvement are other features. Let’s explore them all and discover what’s new in InfoWater Pro.
In InfoWater Pro 2025.1, Asset Performance Reporting is now available from the Fire Flow tab inside of the Run Manager, but what does this mean for you? By enabling this analysis functionality for fire flow, when you are modelling your network or undergoing system planning, you can view specifically how each asset throughout your network behaves during every possible fire-flow event. This ultimately means more data that’s more easily accessible and understood so you can make better decisions on capacity issues, bottlenecks, or system vulnerabilities.
We mentioned last year’s release of fire flow in the cloud and this release builds on that functionality, making the fire-flow analysis and workflows inside of InfoWater Pro unparalleled in the industry.
When Asset Performance Reporting is enabled, you can quickly generate result tables to summarize pipes with high velocities and junctions that have low pressure based on the aggregate of all simulated fire flows.
The latest release also delivers the ability to run water quality simulations with initial state files. By implementing this, you can now significantly lower the run duration lengths for simulations like water age and chlorine decay analysis.
Particularly for water age simulations, historically these could require long "ramp-up" periods in order to output steady and reliable results. Now, being able to start from an initial state, you’ll be able to rapidly iterate on your simulations and solutions, without having to start from scratch each time.
In addition to these noteworthy features, there were several other improvements rolled out in InfoWater Pro 2025.1, like improvements to our GIS Gateway performance and support for updating objects from GIS based on reformatted GUID.
InfoWater Procontains a variety of tools and features to address numerous applications from water quality evaluation, to master planning, to pipe break analysis, and much more. Autodesk understands that the water system is more than the hydraulic analysis; it’s about the communities impacted by that water. Integrating the power of Autodesk’s hydraulic modeling with Esri’s ArcGIS Pro allows users the ability to perform more advanced analysis, keep models updated faster, and understand system impacts without leaving the comfort of your data’s natural environment.
10 reasons water professionals choose InfoWater Pro
Engineers use Autodesk InfoWater Pro software to model water distribution systems in an easy-to-use GIS interface, leverage spatial analysis tools available in ArcGIS Pro to help with model building and management, and analyze and understand criticality in their systems like pressure transient events.
Autodeskhelps people imagine, design and create a better world. Everyone-from design professionals, engineers and architects to digital artists, students and hobbyists-uses Autodesk software to unlock their creativity and solve important challenges.
